Product Overview
The CBQ10-23 is a brazed diamond CNC bit built for shops that cut quartz, quartzite and engineered stone every day. Diamond grit is brazed directly onto the steel body, so the cutting layer stays exposed as it wears — cutting speed stays consistent from the first pass to the last, instead of fading the way plated tools do.
The 10 mm head handles sink openings, tap holes and tight radius corners; the 23 mm diamond section gives enough working height for 20 mm slab edges without the shank rubbing. Use it for profiling, grooving, drainboard channels, lettering and relief work on any standard CNC stone router.
Key Features
Diamond particles are chemically bonded to the steel body for aggressive cutting and long life on highly abrasive quartz and sintered surfaces.
A concentric shank and controlled grit exposure keep vibration low, so edges come off the machine smooth and need less hand polishing.
Ground 10 mm shank runs true in standard collets — recommended 8,000–12,000 rpm with 2–3 mm depth of cut per pass.
Other head diameters (6–16 mm), grits (30/40 coarse to 60/80 medium) and working lengths can be produced to order.
Typical Applications
- Sink, hob and tap cut-outs in quartz and engineered stone countertops
- Edge trimming and profiling on 20–30 mm slabs
- Drainboard grooves, drip channels and recessed features
- Lettering, logos and relief engraving on stone panels
- Finishing passes on sintered stone, porcelain and ultra-compact surfaces

FAQ
What materials can the CBQ10-23 cut?
Quartz, quartzite, engineered stone, sintered stone such as Dekton-type slabs, granite, porcelain and other hard, brittle surfaces. For very dense material, reduce depth of cut and keep water on the cutting zone.
Wet or dry cutting?
Both work. Wet cutting is recommended — water cools the diamond layer and clears slurry, which gives longer tool life and a cleaner edge. If you run dry, use effective dust extraction.
Which machines does it fit?
Any CNC stone router or countertop machining center with a 10 mm collet. The 75 mm overall length clears standard 20–30 mm slab edges.
How long does one bit last?
Tool life depends on material, feed rate and cooling. In quartz countertop work, most shops get consistent cutting through a full production run; the brazed layer keeps cutting as it wears, so speed stays stable until the diamond section is used up.
Can you produce custom sizes or our own brand?
Yes. We manufacture to order: head diameters 6–16 mm, different grits, 10 mm shank or to drawing, and OEM packing with your logo. Send a drawing or sample and we will quote.
What is the difference between this bit and a finger bit?
A finger bit is normally a larger-diameter tool for bulk stock removal in sink openings. The CBQ10-23 is a smaller 10 mm bit for precise cutting, grooving and finishing — often used after roughing with a finger bit.
